DRAMA                 
YEAR TEN COURSE  OUTLINE


Approximately two to four weeks will be spent in the following workshops which will further develop your use the four drama techniques

·        Movement    
·        Body 
·        Voice
·        Space


You will also work with a variety of conventions e.g. hot seating, chorus, dialogue, flash forward, flash back, role on the wall, and elements e.g. time, energy, dramatic tension, mood, symbol.  


The last two workshops have final performances, performed to a live audience.

1.   Introduction, review stage terms, code of conduct (Secret code), four drama   techniques

2.   Movement. Laban’s technique.

3.   Voice. Posture, resonance, articulation, projection etc.

4.   Mime. Silent movies

5.   Improvisation. Commedia dell ‘Arte.

6.   Greek Theatre
