DRAMA

YEAR NINE COURSE  OUTLINE

 

Approximately two weeks will be spent in the following workshops which will introduce you to the four drama techniques

·        Movement

·        Body

·        Voice

·        Space

The last two have final performances, performed to the Pegasus Unit and sometimes some other Year Nine classes.

1.     Introduction, stage terms, code of conduct (Secret code)

2.     Movement. Using our bodies to express ideas.

3.     Mime. Marcel Marceau techniques

4.     Improvisation. Theatre Sports

5.     Devised Theatre using Maori and or Aboriginal Myths and Legends

6.     Shadow Puppets using Asian Myths and Legends
