PAKURANGA COLLEGE

Faculty of the Arts

Ko Toi Te Uri Mahara Pohewa

The Arts develop the artistic and aesthetic dimensions of human experience.   They contribute to our intellectual ability and to our social, cultural and spiritual understandings.   They are an essential element of daily living and of lifelong learning.

 Drama

In drama we discover how meaning is shaped and communicated.   We will work individually and collaboratively to investigate, select, research, evaluate, refine ideas and perform and respond to drama. We will rehearse and present drama to others through informal sharing of structured presentations that involve increasingly sophisticated dramatic processes, techniques and technologies.  We will explore the forms and purposes of drama in historical and/or contemporary societies including NZ.
